LSSC Advisory Board Members Amy Aines and Rick Stulen conducted a Growth Mindset Workshop on August 1 for students involved in Innovation Tri-Valley’s Boomerang Project.  The Boomerang Project matches area companies with graduating high school seniors, college freshmen and sophomores for summer internships.  The interactive workshop explored learning styles, how the brain changes when you learn, the importance of embracing failure, and how to cultivate a growth mindset.  Students left with new ideas and tools to help succeed in school, work and life.  The prior week, LSSC provided tickets for the interns to attend Jamie Metzl’s talk on genetic engineering.
